VW Golf MK5 1.6 FSI Throttle Body

Brand new, unused, aftermarket (M&D brand from Euro car parts) Item number. 422441220 (On Euro Car Parts website). Throttle body compatible with Golf MK5 1.6 FSI and probably others.

The throttle body is the part of the air intake system that controls the amount of air flowing into the engine. Inside the throttle body is the throttle plate, which is a butterfly valve that regulates the airflow.

When the driver presses on the accelerator pedal, the throttle plate opens up, allowing more air into the intake manifold. A faulty throttle body may cause a poor idle as well as poor acceleration under load. This may also trigger an engine check light.
