The throttle body is a valve that controls how much air the engine takes in. It is connected to the air filter on the top and the engine block on the bottom, which is called the throat of the car engine. The traditional engine throttle control mechanism works through a cable (soft wire) or a tie rod, one side is connected to the accelerator pedal, and the other side is connected to the throttle linkage plate.
